Open Searchable Image Catalogue (OSIC) adminfunctions.php and editcatalogue.php SQL injection
| osic-adminfunctions-editcatalogue-sql-inj (26968) |
Description:
Open Searchable Image Catalogue (OSIC) is vulnerable to SQL injection. If magic_quotes_gpc is disabled, a remote attacker with access to the administration section could send specially-crafted SQL statements to the core.php script using the 'do_mysql_query' parameter, to the adminfunctions.php script using the 'username', 'realname', 'type', and 'id' parameters, or the editcatalogue.php script using the 'catalogue_id', 'tempCategory', 'txtDescription', 'txtDateCreated', 'txtSource', 'txtNotes', and 'filetype' parameters, which could allow the attacker to add, modify, or delete information in the back-end database.
Consequences:
Data Manipulation
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Open Searchable Image Catalogue (0.7.0.1 or later), available from the OSIC Web site. See References.
