Sendmail nested multipart MIME message denial of service
| sendmail-multipart-mime-dos (27128) |
Description:
Multiple products that utilize the Sendmail MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) are vulnerable to a denial of service caused by improper handling of deeply nested multipart MIME messages. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using a malformed MIME message to consume large amounts of system resources or cause the mail queue process to abort.
