MySQL SELECT str_to_date denial of service

Description:
MySQL is vulnerable to a denial of service. An authenticated attacker could send a specially-crafted SELECT str_to_date query to cause the mysqld daemon to crash.
Consequences:
Denial of Service
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Mac OS X (10.4.9 or later) or apply Apple Security Update 2007-003. See References.
Upgrade to the latest version of MySQL (4.1.18 or later), (5.0.19 or later) or (5.1.6 or later), available from the MySQL Web site. See References.
