Description:

Jaws is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the magpie_slashbox.php script. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using 'rss_url' parameter to execute script in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, allowing the attacker to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of Jaws (0.6.3 or later), available from the Jaws Web site. See References.
