Description:

H-Sphere is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the mailman/massmail.html script. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using the 'next_template', 'start', 'curr_menu_id', or the 'arid' parameter to execute script in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, allowing the attacker to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of H-Sphere (2.5.0 Patch 3 or later), available from the H-Sphere Web site. See References.
