MyBB [url] tag cross-site scripting

Description:
MyBB is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using Unicode-encoded script embedded within [url] tags in a message posting to execute script in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, allowing the attacker to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of MyBB (1.1.5 or later), available from the MyBB Web site. See References.
