Description:

QuickZip could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system, caused by improper validation of TAR and GZ files during extraction. A remote attacker could create a malicious TAR or GZ file with specially-crafted path names containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) which could allow the attacker to traverse directories, or overwrite arbitrary files on the system, if a victim could be persuaded to extract the malicious archive.
