Apple Mac OS X ImageIO TIFF image buffer overflow

Description:
Apple Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server are vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking of TIFF image files by ImageIO. By creating a malformed TIFF file and sending it to a potential victim as an email attachment or hosting it on a Web site, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and possibly execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the affected application to crash, once the file is opened.
