Description:

OpenOffice.org is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking of XML documents. By creating a malformed OpenOffice XML document and hosting it on a Web site or sending it to a potential victim as an email attachment, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the affected application to crash, once the document is opened.
