Lazarus Guestbook codes-english.php cross-site scripting

Description:
Lazarus Guestbook is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the codes-english.php script. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using the 'show' parameter to execute script in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, allowing the attacker to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Lazarus Guestbook (1.5.5 or later), available from the Lazarus Guestbook Web site. See References.
