McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator EPO Framework service directory traversal
| epolicy-epo-directory-traversal (27738) |
Description:
McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories and execute arbitrary code on an affected system, caused by improper validation of certain POST requests to the Common Management (EPO) Agent Framework service. By sending a malicious "PropsResponse" request containing a specially-crafted directory and filename, an attacker could traverse directories and create or overwrite files on the system, which could be exploited to execute code and gain complete control of the vulnerable system.
