DUMB it_read_envelope() buffer overflow
| dumb-itreadenvelope-bo (27789) |
Description:
Dynamic Universal Music Bibliotheque (DUMB) is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper handling of Impulse Tracker (IT) files by the it_read_envelope() function. By creating a malicious IT file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash, if the attacker could persuade a victim to open the malicious file.
