Description:
Wireshark (formerly known as Ethereal) is vulnerable to a format string attack in the XML dissector. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using a malformed packet or trace file to cause the application to crash and possibly execute arbitrary commands on the system.

Remedy:
