Description:
Wireshark (formerly known as Ethereal) is vulnerable to a denial of service attack, caused by multiple off-by-one errors in the NCP NMAS and NDPS dissectors. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using a malformed packet or trace file to cause the application to crash and possibly execute arbitrary commands on the system.
