TurboZIP repair archive buffer overflow

Description:
TurboZIP is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking in DZIP32.DLL when repairing an archived file. By creating a malicious archive file with an overlong filename of more than 2048 bytes, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the system to crash when the victim attempts to repair the malicious ZIP archive file.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of TurboZIP (6.0 Build 2006-07-23 or later), available from the TurboZIP Web site. See References.
