Mozilla Thunderbird and SeaMonkey VCard base64 field buffer overflow
| mozilla-vcard-base64-bo (27985) |
Description:
Mozilla Thunderbird and SeaMonkey are vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow and integer underflow, caused by improper bounds checking of certain fields within a VCard attachment. By sending an email with a VCard attachment containing a malformed base64 field, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash, once the malicious VCard attachment is opened.
