Apple Mac OS X AFP server reconnect key unauthorized file access
| macosx-afp-file-access (28136) |
Description:
Apple Mac OS X Server could allow a local attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by insecure permissions on the Apple Filing Protocol (AFP) reconnect keys. AFP reconnect keys, which are used for reconnecting file sharing sessions after a network outage, are created with world-readable permissions. This could allow an attacker to obtain an AFP reconnect key for another user and use it to gain unauthorized access to the user's shared files and folders.
