Barracuda Spam Firewall preview_email.cgi command execution

Description:
Barracuda Spam Firewall could allow an attacker to execute certain commands caused by improper validation by the preview_email.cgi script. An attacker with a valid account could send a specially-crafted request to the preview_email.cgi containing a pipe "|" character and sudo commands to execute certain commands and scripts on the system with root level privileges.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Barracuda Spam Firewall firmware (3.3.0.54 or later), available from the Barracuda Web site. See References.
