DeluxeBB pm.php membercookie security bypass

Description:
DeluxeBB could allow a remote attacker to bypass authentication and gain unauthorized access to a victim's Personal Messenger, caused by improper restrictions on the pm.php script. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially-crafted HTTP POST request to the pm.php script supplying a victim's username in the 'membercookie' cookie parameter.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of DeluxeBB (1.08 or later), available from the DeluxeBB Web site. See References.
