DConnect Daemon privmsg() and pubmsg() format string
| dconnect-daemon-privmsg-pubmsg-format-string (28280) |
Description:
DConnect Daemon could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by a format string vulnerability in the privmsg() and pubmsg() functions. A remote attacker with superior user or administrator privileges could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially-crafted message containing malicious format specifiers which, once the message is viewed, could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system.
