Clam AntiVirus pefromupx() buffer overflow
| clamav-pefromupx-bo (28286) |
Description:
Clam AntiVirus is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the pefromupx() function in libclamav/upx.c. By sending a specially-crafted compressed UPX file in an email, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the service to crash.
