ncompress decompress() buffer underflow
| ncompress-decompress-underflow (28315) |
Description:
ncompress is vulnerable to a buffer underflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the decompress() function in compress42.c. By sending a specially-crafted datastream, a remote attacker could cause a buffer underflow and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
