MMS Composer message buffer overflow

mmscomposer-message-bo (28342) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

MMS Composer from ArcSoft is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the M-Notification.ind, M-Retrieve.conf, and SMIL parsers when processing MMS messages. By sending a specially-crafted MMS message, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the affected device or cause the application to crash, if the attacker could persuade the victim to view the malicious message.
