Description:

Streamripper is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking when handling HTTP headers. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web site, a remote attacker could send an HTTP request with a malformed HTTP header to overflow a buffer and possibly execute arbitrary code on a victim's system or cause the application to crash.

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of Streamripper (1.61.26 or later), available from SourceForge.net : Files. See References.
