Microsoft Internet Explorer HTTP 1.1 compression long URL buffer overflow variant
| ie-url-compression-bo (28893) |
Description:
Microsoft Internet Explorer is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking of an overly long URL when viewing a Web site using HTTP 1.1 compression. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the victim's browser to crash or execute arbitrary code on the victim's system, if the attacker could persuade the victim to visit a malicious Web page.
