Cisco IOS VTP wrap configuration manipulation

cisco-ios-vtp-wrap-config-manipulation (28925) The risk level is classified as MediumMedium Risk

Description:

Cisco IOS and Cisco CatOS could allow a remote attacker to manipulate configuration updates caused by a negative integer wrap issue in the VTP (VLAN Trunking Protocol) feature. If an attacker can send VTP updates to a Cisco IOS or CatOS device, the attacker could revise the VTP revision to 0x7FFFFFFF. When the VLAN configuration is next changed, the revision will be increased to 0x80000000, which would result in the affected device being unable to communicate configuration changes to other devices.
