Description:
Symantec Antivirus Corporate and Symantec Client Security are vulnerable to a denial of service attack, caused by a format string vulnerability in the alert notification process. By changing the alert notification message to a malicious format string, a local attacker could cause the Real Time Virus Scan service to crash when the malicious alert message is triggered by the detection of a malicious file.
