Description:
Microsoft PowerPoint could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system caused by improper handling of malformed presentation files. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a victim to open a malicious PowerPoint presentation (.ppt) either by sending the malicious file to a victim as an email attachment or by hosting it on a Web site.
Note: It has been reported that this vulnerability is being exploited by the Trojan.Controlppt.W and Trojan.Controlppt.X (also known as PPDropper.F and Exploit-PPT.d).
