OpenSSL SSL_get_shared_ciphers() buffer overflow
| openssl-sslgetsharedciphers-bo (29237) |
Description:
OpenSSL is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the SSL_get_shared_ciphers() function. By sending an overly long list of ciphers to an application that uses the vulnerable function, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the server to crash.
