Description:

Trend Micro OfficeScan Corporate Edition could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by a format string vulnerability in the ATXCONSOLE.OCX ActiveX Control. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially-crafted format string to the "name search" field in the Management Console's Remote Client Install which could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the vulnerable system.

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of OfficeScan Corporate Edition (version 7.3 patch 1 or later), available from the Trend Micro Web site. See References.
