Invision Power Board avatar cross-site scripting
| ipb-avatar-image-xss (29351) |
Description:
Invision Power Board is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the action_admin/member.php. A remote attacker with basic administrator privileges could exploit this vulnerability using a specially-crafted image as the avatar to inject malicious script into a Web page which would be executed in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, once the page is viewed. An attacker could use this vulnerability to force the administrator to execute arbitrary SQL commands on the system.
