Computer Associates (CA) RPC Server DBASVR.exe buffer overflow
| ca-dbasvr-rpc-bo (29364) |
Description:
Multiple Computer Associates server backup products are vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking within the Backup Agent RPC Server (DBASVR.exe). By sending a specially-crafted RPC request to TCP port 6071, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with SYSTEM privileges.
