Description:
The Discovery service in Computer Associates BrightStor ARCserve Backup is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking of messages received over the "CheyenneDS" Mailslot. By sending an overly long message, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.
