Description:

Multiple Symantec products using the Automated Support Tool ActiveX could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by vulnerabilities in certain methods in the Automated Support Tool ActiveX control. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a victim to visit a malicious Web site.

NOTE: The Automated Support Tool ActiveX control could be installed on systems by support personnel to detect problems on computers running any supported Symantec consumer product. Affected products listed are those that install the Automated Support Tool ActiveX control during the installation process.
