Microsoft Windows SMB rename denial of service
| win-smb-rename-dos (29373) |
Description:
Multiple versions of Microsoft Windows are vulnerable to a denial of service attack, caused by a NULL pointer dereference in the server service driver (srv.sys). By sending a specially-crafted SMB rename request to an affected system, a remote attacker with valid authentication credentials could cause the system to reboot.
