Opera tag URL buffer overflow
| opera-tag-url-bo (29632) |
Description:
Opera is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking of a tag that contains a URL. By creating a Web site containing an overly long URL in a tag, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the victim or cause the browser to crash, if the attacker could persuade the victim to visit a malicious Web site.
