GNU Texinfo texindex buffer overflow
| texinfo-texindex-bo (30158) |
Description:
GNU Texinfo is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking of the texi2dvi and texindex commands. By creating a malicious Texinfo file, a local attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the affected application to crash, once the malicious file is processed.
