Outpost Firewall Pro multiple hooked functions denial of service
| outpostfirewall-multiple-functions-dos (30312) |
Description:
Outpost Firewall Pro is vulnerable to a denial of service attack, caused by a vulnerability in the Sandbox.sys Outpost driver when handling the parameters of multiple hooked functions. A local attacker could call the NtAssignProcessToJobObject(), NtCreateKey(), NtCreateThread(), NtDeleteFile(), NtLoadDriver(), NtOpenProcess(), NtProtectVirtualMemory(), NtReplaceKey(), NtTerminateProcess(), NtTerminateThread(), NtUnloadDriver(), or the NtWriteVirtualMemory() using specially-crafted parameters to cause the system to crash.
