Dovecot IMAP/POP3 server dovecot.index.cache buffer overflow
| dovecot-indexcache-bo (30433) |
Description:
Dovecot IMAP/POP3 server is vulnerable to an off-by-one buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the dovecot.index.cache file. By sending specially-crafted e-mails, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and cause the server to crash or possibly execute arbitrary code on the system, if mmap is disabled.
