Turbo Searcher ARJ buffer overflow
| turbo-searcher-arj-bo (30438) |
Description:
Turbo Searcher is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the 7-Zip ARJ plugin when performing a search in a directory. By sending an ARJ archive with an overly long ARJ block, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system if the attacker could persuade a victim to perform a search in a directory.
Note: Successful exploitation requires that the Quick Search option is disabled and the Search in compressed file option is enabled.
