GnuPG ask_outfile_name() function buffer overflow
| gnupg-askoutfilename-bo (30550) |
Description:
GnuPG is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the ask_outfile_name() function in the openfile.c file. By sending a specially-crafted message with an invalid 'n' size, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
Note: Applications must be running in interactive mode for this vulnerability to exist.
