Description:

Apple Mac OS X AppleTalk is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by improper validation by the AIOCREGLOCALZN ioctl command. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially-crafted data structure using the AIOCREGLOCALZN ioctl command to corrupt memory and cause a denial of service.

Note: The AppleTalk stack must be enabled for successful exploitation.
