ProFTPD mod_tls module tls_x509_name_oneline() buffer overflow
| proftpd-modtls-bo (30554) |
Description:
ProFTPD is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the tls_x509_name_oneline() function in contrib/mod_tls.c. By sending specially-crafted data to the server, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges or cause the application to crash.
