Apple Mac OS X PPP buffer overflow

Description:
Apple Mac OS X is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the PPP driver. If PPPoE is enabled, a remote attacker on the local network could send a specially-crafted PPPoE Active Discovery Initiation (PADI) packet to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges or cause the system to crash.
