F-Prot Antivirus ACE file denial of service

Description:
F-Prot Antivirus is vulnerable to a denial of service caused by improper parsing of ACE compressed files. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted ACE file to cause the application to enter into an infinite loop and consume all available resources.
Platforms Affected:
- F-PROT, F-PROT Antivirus 4.6.6
- Gentoo, Linux
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of F-Prot Antivirus (4.6.7 or later), available from the F-Prot Antivirus Web site. See References.
