Description:
Nostra DivX Player is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking. By creating a specially-crafted playlist file containing an overly long UNC pathname and persuading a victim to open the file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by hosting the malicious file on a Web site or sending it as an email attachment.
