ProFTPD Controls (mod_ctrls) module buffer overflow

Description:
ProFTPD is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the pr_ctrls_recv_request() function in the mod_ctrls module. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges.
