Description:

The Microsoft Antivirus engine (PEngine.dll) is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by an integer overflow that can occur when processing PDF documents. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted PDF document, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by hosting the malicious document on a Web site or sending it to a victim as an email attachment.
