BitDefender Client Professional Plus scan job settings format string

Description:
BitDefender Client Professional Plus could allow a local attacker to cause a denial of service, caused by a format string vulnerability in the scanning settings. By using a specially-crafted scan job to pass malicious format specifiers to the job settings, a local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to read arbitrary data or cause a denial of service.
Platforms Affected:
- BitDefender, BitDefender Client Professional Plus Build 8.02 & prior
Remedy:
BitDefender has issued a fix which is included in the regular automatic update, available to all BitDefender users.
