IBM DB2 BSS segment buffer overflow
| db2-bss-bo (32651) |
Description:
IBM DB2 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by BSS segment buffers. By copying data from an environment variable, a local attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges.
